CHILD ADVOCACY & CRISIS SPECIALIST

Children’s Square is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Child Advocacy & Crisis Specialists within our Crisis Stabilization Residential Services program.

In this essential role, you will serve as a strong advocate and trusted support for youths navigating mental health crises. You’ll play a key part in creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where healing and growth are possible.

 **NEW SCHEDULE  (4 DAYS PER WEEK) and NEW HOURS**              

Front End: Sunday - Wednesday

Back End: Wednesday - Saturday

AM:  6:00am – 3:00pm

PM:  2:00pm – 11:00pm

Overnight:  10:00pm – 7:00am

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and supervision to residents in a Crisis Stabilization Residential setting
  • Advocate for the needs and rights of children and adolescents, ensuring their voices are heard and respected
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Implement behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Create a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and recovery
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions and progress

 

Qualifications:

  • 5 Years Direct Care Experience OR Mental Health Technician Certificate  OR Associates Degree in Mental Health, Psychology, or related field
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situations effectively
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
