Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Trauma Program Education Coordinator position. This position is responsible for coordinating the required provider and nurse education accredited classes to maintain a level I verified status for trauma care. Education includes coordinating national courses such as ATLS, TNCC, ATCN, DMEP, Stop the Bleed, TCAR, and/or PCAR, and on-demand learnings based on identified areas of improved education across the trauma center. This position will also work collaboratively with the outreach and injury prevention coordinator to support ongoing trauma education in the community.

Duties: Trauma Program Coordinator
Partner with the Trauma Program Manager (TPM) to assist with trauma program operations related to performance improvement, education, outreach, and injury prevention activities. Participates in the overall development, implementation and evaluation of the trauma program by organizing the services and systems necessary for a multidisciplinary approach to providing care for the injured patient. Work with all departments involved in the care of trauma patients and their families. Work collaboratively with colleagues in trauma, state personnel, and referral hospitals to serve as a resource and to support the assessment of care across the regional trauma system.
Required Qualifications: Trauma Program Coordinator
Minimum of five years recent clinical experience in trauma, emergency, or critical care required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team required.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license,
Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nursing (ATCN) certification or completed within 6 months of hire required.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Program Coordinator
Master's Degree in Science (MS), Arts (MA) or Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Experience with facilitation of educational events or curriculum development preferred.
